Chris Huggins

Lecturer and NEPT Course Co-ordinator

Lecture for the Department of Community Emergency Health and Paramedic Practice.
Chris  Lecturers in the BEH(P) and Unit co-ordinator for BEH2011 and BEH3012.
Co-ordinator HLT30207 Certificate III in Non-Emergency Patient/Client Transport and HLT50407 Diploma of Paramedic Science (Ambulance).
Chris developed distant education package for the Diploma of Paramedical Studies, and is the secretary for the RTO course advisory committee. Provide advice to DHS on educational matters for the Non-Emergency Sector. Designed, authored many learning text and workbooks for the program run by the RTO.
Chris is a paramedic with over twenty years experience and during that time has held the position of Team Manager, Safety and Support Manager and Clinical instructor. Chris was on the MAS Medical Standards Committee for three years.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Learning through simulation.
Critical decision making and the health care professional.
Barriers to continuing education in health care professionals.
The community involvement in first aid and pre and out of hospital care.
