About the Department of Community Emergency Health & Paramedic PracticeThe Department of Community Emergency Health and Paramedic Practice (DCEHPP) is the centre of excellence for Paramedic education and training. DCEHPP formally known as MUCAPS, was formed in 1999 when the education and training of Ambulance and MICA paramedics moved from the Ambulance officers Training Centre (AOTC) to Monash University. At that time the small public education unit also moved from the AOTC to Monash University, this Unit has evolved into the Professional Development & Commercial Programs Unit. This evolution has continued into the development of Monash Centre for Ambulance and Paramedic Studies.
