About the Department of Community Emergency Health & Paramedic Practice
The Department of Community Emergency Health and Paramedic Practice (DCEHPP) is the centre of excellence for Paramedic education and training. DCEHPP formally known as MUCAPS, was formed in 1999 when the education and training of Ambulance and MICA paramedics moved from the Ambulance officers Training Centre (AOTC) to Monash University. At that time the small public education unit also moved from the AOTC to Monash University, this Unit has evolved into the Professional Development & Commercial Programs Unit.

HLT30207 Certificate III in Non-Emergency Client Transport (Offered twice a year)
HLT41007 Certificate IV in Health Care (Ambulance) (On request with an minimum of 10 participants)
HLT50407 Diploma of Paramedical Science (Ambulance) It is offered as a distant education program with online education and training linked to face- to-face workshops for consolidation of theoretical and practical knowledge (offered once a year)
